I have recently completed & passed the exam to become a NFTA Certified Forage Sampler. Honos is so excited to add this certification to our evidence-based, quality-driven approach to equine nutrition support, in addition to our formal education background (Master of Science in Animal Nutrition; Bachelor's degree in Equine Management), life-long industry immersion, and equine nutrition consulting experience.

The FIRST Certified Hay Sampler in Ontario!
The National Forage Testing Association (NFTA) was created in collaboration with the American Forage and Grassland Council, the National Hay Association, as well as forage testing laboratories. The goal of the NFTA is to improve the accuracy of hay testing and build confidence in testing animal feeds. I am SO excited to be the first NFTA Certified Hay Sampler in Ontario! As you may know, at Honos, we prioritize evidence-based support, so certification of best practice hay sampling is incredibly valuable to ensuring we can provide you with the most accurate and science-based support we can!
